  1. Nice! Good luck Jim in the race...Still can't quite get back on the saddle yet, but went out for a game of ultimate frisbee the other day. I've literally haven't exercised for a year and let's just say that I am teeny bit sore...lol Due to the long inactivity, the total game time of 25 minutes caused a strain of a tendon in my left foot (yes, I know, oh brother), but hoping to recover by this weekend to play again. Again, good luck, using you as my inspiration.

  2. John, I played ultimate from to 1989 to 2004. Loved it, loved it! Miss the game. I have played pick-up a couple times this year. Much slower than the past but the throws are still there.

  3. None of us would choose this (the brain tumor) path, but I, like you, found in it inspiration to become active and make special use of my time. Mine is a very low-grade oligodendroglioma, so I have endured far less treatment-related challenges, and have, so far, gone 14 years with no problems. But I can never quite forget...Anyway, I now almost live on my bike. Had never ridden a road bike before. Now, I, a grandmother, have ridden across the US and plan to spend the next year training for the Death Ride in the Sierras. Who'd have thought???

Best of luck in your race!

  4. Yes, it's a great game. Nothing better to get into shape quicker than playing a lung-busting game of ultimate. Let's just say I wasn't walking quite so well after the first game. The second game was better. My throws aren't quite there anymore, no more flick and hammer's unfortunately :( haha Great that your throws are still there. You can just quarterback the team!!!
